THE FIRE DRAGONS MARTIAL ARTS SYSTEM IS A VERY MODERN BUT HONORABLE AND HUMBLE STYLE.
IT IS A CHARACTER BASE MARTIAL ART NOT COMMERCIAL.
BELT RANKING IS USED TO PROVIDE A SERIES OF GOALS AND MARKERS FOR TRAINING. WE USE THE KYU/DAN SYSTEM OF RANKING, 10TH - 1ST KYU (LOWEST TO HIGHEST), THEN 1ST DAN - 10TH DAN (1ST DEGREE BLACKBELT TO 10TH DEGREE BLACKBELT).
HOWEVER BELTS AREN'T THE ONLY GOAL STUDENTS CAN OBTAIN. THEY WILL ALSO HAVE A CHANCE TO EARN INSTRUCTOR TITLES AND OTHER ACHIEVEMENT PATCHES AND ACOLADES.
BECAUSE OF THE PHILOSOPHY, THE ART DOES NOT AWARD RANK BASED ON A COMPARISON WITH OTHERS, THE TIME A STUDENT PUTS IN, OR A WIN-LOSS TALLY FROM A TOURNAMENT CIRCUIT. INSTEAD, IT IS BASED ON AN INDIVIDUAL'S HARD WORK AND IMPROVEMENT.
THE FIRE DRAGONS ARE GOVERNED BY IT'S Constitution AND BYLAWS AND THESE RULES ARE ENFORCED BY ITS OFFICERS.
Parents also have the opportunity to be involved with their child's learning experience by being a part of the Booster Club. The Booster Club organize other functions in the Fire Dragon Program that helps the students feel at home.
One aspect of the Fire Dragons Program is its Journal. Students are responsible to keep a journal to record their classes and hold important documents that will given to them throughout their training.
The Fire Dragons Program incorporates many of traditions and rules. These traditions and rules are for the students to learn respect, team work and qualities that can and will help them in their lives.
FIRE DRAGONS MARTIAL ARTS ASSOCIATION WAS FOUNDED BY SENSEI CHARLIE MYERS JR.
ALL ARTWORK INCLUDING PATCHES WERE DESIGNED BY CHARLIE MYERS.
